World cutting - Viewfinder
Real-time recreation of the picture-based environment manipulation mechanic from Viewfinder. The goal of this project was to explore how a player can capture a portion of a 3D world and reposition it dynamically, preserving both geometry and gameplay interactions. Using Unity, we implemented real-time mesh slicing, frustum-based object selection, and camera-controlled placement, while maintaining consistent collisions and visual fidelity. Particular focus was given to handling dynamic meshes efficiently and recreating the interaction between the captured elements and the surrounding environment.
